Relief is as simple
as a pair of glasses
A typical eye exam is not sensitive enough to detect the slight eye misalignment that causes the symptoms of Binocular Vision Dysfunction. Dr. Kenyon uses extensive testing and a unique treatment that utilizes micro-prismatic lenses designed to correct the small misalignment and alleviate eye muscle strain. Patients often feel noticeably better right away and most experience an 80% reduction of symptoms by the end of the treatment.
Once the exam is complete, Dr. Kenyon will create an eyeglass prescription that contains micro-prisms. The micro-prismatic lenses will not only correct your eye misalignment, but also provide you with clear, comfortable vision. A lens laboratory that specializes in micro-prismatic lenses will fabricate your new lenses in any frame of your choice. Your new eyeglasses will look like any other pair of glasses and provide you with the relief that you have been searching for.
After you have received your new eyeglasses, you should wear them all day. A follow-up appointment with Dr. Kenyon will be scheduled in a few weeks to fine-tune the lenses once your eye muscles have relaxed. Unfortunately, at this time contact lenses cannot be manufactured with micro-prisms.
Many patients experience such a relief of their symptoms they choose to purchase sunglasses and a backup pair of eyeglasses with their new micro-prismatic lenses.
Many medical insurances cover the cost of the exam and follow-up appointments. Some vision insurances may cover a portion of the frame and lens charges.
Our current list of accepted medical insurances is Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Aetna, Cigna and Medicare. If we do not accept your insurance you can opt to pay for the exam yourself.
Please take the test to see if micro-prismatic eyeglasses could relieve your symptoms. One of our highly trained technicians will contact you with the results and answer any questions you may have.
